I stayed at the Westin timeshares in early June for a week. I was not sure what to expect since prior reviews were hot and cold. I have stayed at over a dozen places in PV and surrounding areas so I have a lot to compare to and am open to any new experience.
Our unit was a one bedroom overlooking the ocean. The unit was older but clean and well maintained. The master shower could use redoing but other than that the room was very nice. Plenty of pillows, soft bed and the kitchen was well appointed for a time share unit. Check in went really well considering how busy it was. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly (unlike what I had read on other posts). In fact, I think they were some of the friendliest I have encountered in PV. Every request we had was met with a gracious-no problem- and handled immediately.
The grounds at the Westin are some of the finest I have ever encountered in this part of Mexico. The beach is small but also very nice. Pools were fabulous. We never ate the Westin since we had a full kitchen. I do agree with previous posts that the cost of the food and drink were outrageous. No problems bringing everything we wanted to eat or drink down to the pool. The location was ideal to all the resteraunts and shopping at the marina area. I had no idea there was so much to choose from in the marina area. Prices were a bit high on food. We found a place \"Victors\" that was excellent in quality and price. Great beer and margarita prices. We went there three times and had an excellent food and services each time. We took a party there our last night with 11 people. We drank and ate a ton and the bill was less than $150.00 including our drinks.
Great time in PV once again!
