No, the airlines are all regular ones other than charters.

You may want to check into charters if money is your big concern. Worry Free Vacations or Funjet, or even Sun Country. Other than those, the only US based airlines that fly into PV are the regular carriers.

You can pull up a list of the airlines if you Google the PV airport too, ya know.

i guess one could get a direct flight to Cancun and walk across....   i am trying to understand the reason for getting \"creative\" in flights... especially if you have been coming to PV for \"several years\".... The only hubs where we can find direct flights to PV on \"name brand airlines\" are from Chicago, Milwaukee, Mpls/StP, St. Louis and KCI.... of which we have to take a shuttle flight from DSM to get to them or drive anywhere from 3 - 5 hrs in good weather....

just trying to understand where this thread is going.... sorry just a dumb old plow boy here in iow.....     We have been coming down to the PV area now for 15 yrs and travelling internationally for 20 yrs now... 8)

To expound on Jennybeans comment, this past May we flew from OKC
direct to PVR non-stop using MLT. In the past we have always flown AA with a plane change at DFW. The MLT cost for a couple was about the
same as one ticket on AA. I was very interested in quality of service
condition of equipment, etc. No complaints. Check local newspapers
for charter companies flying to PVR. They are not listed on Orbitz,
Expedia, or other common sites.
Saving $ On Flights
Get the best flight prices before you book or possibly get a refund after you book . This service is free and has good reviews .

Thank you for all the positive suggestions, I checked out many sites etc, it became more of a game, and booked AA on the same flights I usually use arriving in PVR in the early afternoon, and getting home before mid-night.
