Your luggage should be fine...we prefer Skyservice to AirTransat for sure....our last time there the plane was crowded and older, but the trip home was so fantastic....it helped that we were on a red eye tho....half full, spacious, lovely new plane....and their customer service was top notch...

one other good thing about landing so late/early is Customs will likely be closed. Last year we landed just before midnight and customs was closed.
