We plan on visiting Puerto Vallarta in March. Should we rent a car, or are cabs inexpensive enough to use instead? We plan on a 5-night stay. We can rent a car for about $170, American, for that time period.

It is very easy and cheap to use the buses.

Take the Bus as its inexpensive and fun. Cabs when you are in a hurry...but who wants to be in a hurry in PV :D
