Help with a cab question...

Can someone please tell me how far the Marival Resort and spa is from all of the night life?
Can I walk or is it a cab ride? This my first time to P/V.

The Marival is in Nuevo Vallarta which is about a 20-30 minute cab ride and about (now this is just a guess) 150-160 pesos to the nightlife in PV.
