How to Drive to Yelapa

I will be staying in Nuevo Vallarta in two weeks and traveling around Puerto Vallarta.

Does anyone know how to drive youself from Puerto Vallarta to Yelapa?!

There is a way to drive there but you have to be a local to find it , you are basically off-roading through the mountains, not advisible for tourists. You need to take a boat to get to Yelapa, either a tour boat, water taxi or a private charter.

This is why the road to Yelapa is not that easily traveled. Soft dirt and the ever changing conditions make this road a bit tricky. Luckily all 8 people walked away from this without a scratch…note, those pictured were not involved with this accident,
