Re:Taxi Cost
Is the american dollar widely accepted, or is it better to exchange$$ at the airport for a taxi, tips,ect...? Any advice would be helpful. Also -is it fairly easy to use thier public bus or should I stick to using a taxi??
It;s getting a bit difficulty do this as it is frowned on but it is not impossible. I normally just bite the bullet & pay the posted fee at the Aeroport. As I recall the last time I was forced to take a cab (no one could pick me up) I paid about $15 to Los Cuatro Vientos. The trip to the bus depot (near the airport) from there was only 80 pesos so a huge difference. Walking out to the street & negotiating a fare works much better in smaller cities. I always do this in Zihuatanejo for instance as the difference there is $27 from Aeroport & only about $8 just outside, but PV it is not such a huge difference.rcracing (Sep 09, 2005 11:52 p.m.):
