Traffic into Town

they wont be finished anytime soon. also, im not so sure the hellish traffic is due to the construction. The increasing number of cars and insufficient infrastructure is the larger issue.

With all the new condo towers and more on the way... welcome to big city traffic!

I live N of vallarta and dread going into town. Seems worse every month.

I have to agree with Jeff... with all the new condos going up in Vallarata will increase the traffic in and around Vallarta... and right now they do not have the ways or means to set up a by-pass system for the traffic to get around vallarta... it is going to progressively get worse i am afraid... especially with all the new towers going up... again welcome to the BIG CITY now... our quaint little hideaway has been discovered by the developers and now all the construction that was being done on the East coast has found the west coast.... ah the world of modernization....

Just curious... :?
As Puerto Vallarta becomes bigger and busier and loses some of that old World charm...are we still all going to keep our same travel plans and travel to PV each year
or.....
do we start looking for a smaller centre to go to??
or.... if we continue to visit Puerto Vallarta no matter what changes happen to the city... will we alter the way we tour the city and area..
With growth comes a lot of things..Crime goes up..Will some of the Resorts keep the same level of small town friendliness or will we become just another guest in a Big city .
I have never been to Cancun...No desire to see row on row high rise Resorts.
Puerto Vallarta is ..was.. different but I guess not for long.

traffic
all the main arteries congested
one of the problems traffic lights not in control with traffic
all speed upto the next light
lots of bad drivers
don´t know or care about regulation or rules of the road
like i drive thru pitillal to mojaneras and it is bumper to bumper all the way
just as bad if i took the hwy to central cominera to mojaneras


ah well just adjust to the times

still loving vallarta
