Any off the beaten track place that serves fresh fish?

It seems that lately, even at expensive spots, I am getting fish that tastes frozen. I want the little out of the way place - or for that matter any place - that serves strictly fresh fish - ideally caught the same day.

Am I asking too much?

Try the taco bar just west of Rizo. It is very fresh.

or....try offshore fishing while in pv! thats the freshest! im sure the resort you stay at will cook it up to your likings.

We had a wonderful, affordable meal at Mariscos Polo. They had a tasty steamed mussels appetizer that was very fresh, different from any I had ever had before. Then we had prawns entree and a red snapper entree. Both were great, fresh, with inventive sauces.

as a chef i can tell you that fresh not frozen scallops are better but as far as fish goes!
