Best Breakfast in PV!!

Good food and low prices are great but what about the coffee?....the most important part of breakfast for me. Some might not mind but imho the best breakfast in the world is ruined by a cup of boiling water and a jar of Nescafe!

We will have to give them a try when we are down there.

Cafe de Olla on B. Badillo, one block up from Olas Altas in Old Town has pretty good breakfasts (they were closed on Tues. in low season), but their coffee was wonderful. They serve it with small cones of pinoncillo (similar to brown sugar) on the side and that with some cream makes some delectable caffeine. Of course a shot of kahlua or amaretto on the side never hurts.

I like the Tucan, but The Patio on 226 Madero has won, hands down for me. Excellent breakfast, great prices! All you can eat french toast or pancakes for 30 pesos, a big breakfast for 25 or a Super-ALL- you -can eat everything breakfast for 65 pesos- homemade biscuits and hand sliced bacon to boot!
If you want a beautiful breakfast on the beach, try La Palapa- incredible mango crepes! Dig your toes in the sand and enjoy the surf, food and sun... also my favorite spot for romantic \"toes in the sand 5 star dinner\" dining.

So many places to eat, so little time, and pack at least one pair of \"buffet pants\":)

Ooooh, you folks are making me hungry....and I am not much of a breakfast person, usually just have coffee and bakery from the night before. Wonderful way to start the day, on a balcony overlooking Los Muertos. But we do get out a few times for the breakfast thing.
Can hardly wait!

Looking for a new location.

Ah yes... The Muffin Man! Could not agree more. My favorite is the choco-bannana. We are not big breakfast eaters either so the muffin man is just perfect. Thanks for reminding me...


Leaving in seven days!!!

How does one go about finding the muffin man? sounds like a traveling muffin salesman. We will be staying at Fiesta Americana does he travel our way?

Some times there are muffin ladies also. We always stayed at the Krystal, which is north of the Fiesta Americana, and usually every day the muffin lady would come by. You never knew for sure what time she would come though.

We were staying at the VIlla del Palmar and he came around 10:30 or 11 am ... not sure if that was affected by the hurricane though... Alot of hotels were clsoed when I was there... Just sit at your beach side pool and lsiten for \"The muffin man, The muffin man\" I was sorry I didnt try one till the last day I was there they are delicious.
