For an excellent meal with dynamite ambiance try Le Bistro on the Rio Cuale. A very good meal with unobtrusive jazz background. At the high end expense wise but worth it.

Le Bistro is an excellent choice. Also on the island is River Cafe by the lower bridge. Check their menu. This is another excellent restaurant.
