LA palapa is nice but consider the Rythems of the night cruise if you really want romantic. nice boat ride, open bar great meal and show. Some tables on the beach and the area is candlelite only, no electrical lighting.
You will have a great time....enjoy your trip <:-)-

 I really love Le Kliffe. It is south of Mismaloya, but very well known. It is a bit pricey but the view and the food are definitely worth it! Depending on where you are staying the taxi ride can be long and expensive. I would agree that Rhythms of the Night is romantic, candle and torch lit area, tables by the ocean, the food was rather good as well. This trip is only available by boat.

Open ended Question
I do love the Rhthym of the Nighs cruise for romance, scenic cruise and a nice show on top of it. especially if there is a nice moon out as well. OMG it is great... We do like de Santos for a nice dinner as well as the River Cafe.. couple of nice places... there is le Kliff but a long ride out and back, el Panorama is nice with a view... but you know what is nice too... fix yourself a little picnic, and go out along the beach somewhere, spread out a blanket and enjoy as well... check with your resort to see if they will make you a little something to do this with... or head to Gigante, Mega or Walmart or any of the little groceries and get some thing fixed up... you can do it all in Vallarta
