Buying bar/restaurant in Marina Vallarta?

When I go to PV I stay along the Marina, there are a few different resturants along the marina, rangeing anywhere from Mexican to Chinnese...the Marina Boardwalk is where all the boats dock, but alot of tourists walk along there as well...the cruise ships come in on the other side, so you might not see many tourists from the ships, they would go more downtown maybe. whenever I have walked along the Marina there are always quite a few people eating in the resturants and such. your idea sounds really good...I would love to go to a place that plays the local music than somewhere where they play music I would hear at home!!the Marina is a very laidback atmosphere, which alot of people enjoy...if you need to know anything else, let me know!!

The Marina is nice and a little more upscale than some of the other areas. You might also look around the southend of town, close to the fishing pier, just to get a different perspective on things. A lot of 40+ year-old repeat vacationers and Canadian/American snowbirds hang out on the southside of town.

waring : be carefule to buy any restaurtant or bar in mexico , my friends lost 175 000 US in 1 year . my advis e buy in the USA or canada!!! to many crocks in mexico

no problem in p.v. the city is verry safe . you have to spend time in the sommer to see how slow things are . the people from the cruise shiips are going shopping only . food is free on board !!!! check the restaurant reviews at www.pvmirror.com .

Take a trip down there first. Walk thru the Marina, walk thru the streets, walk thru a number of resorts. You will find many defunct businesses. You will find many empty restaraunts. You will find many thriving ones, also. IMHO, I think the marina area would be a tough area to make it in, odds are the rents are high there.

i dont know why everybody is so negativ. i am a forgener by my self and own two restaurants in pv since years. cafe frankfurt and langostinos on los muertos beach. in first place you dont need any local partner. if you have chosen your place, you go and get your taxnumber, and than you go to the imigration. at this times there traet you well. yust take care befor you by a place. check everything with a notary. do your homework before you baying with a loywer. there dont have prices like at your country. all this negative answers you have on the buletinboard is from peopole how dident do there homework. if you wont to know more yust send me an mail. my info is for free. there are a lot of restaurants and bars are ownd by forgeners, and with a lot of sucess. cafe de los artist, trio, cafe maximillano, porto bello ,cafe frankfurt, and there are a lot more.
