Closed in Oct & Nov

Do many restaurants close at this time of year? We are arriving Oct 25 and I have seen a post or two about a closed restaurant.

September and October are often problems because of the extreme heat rain and humidity. But by November, most places are open again. It is still very hot but the rains have stopped.

In the years we have been going (25), we have found most places open by Oct 15-20.

I think it is more like that is the slowest time of the year and thus the best time for the business owners to do needed maintenance/repairs and take some time off for themselves. Business starts to pick up again toward the end of Oct. for the high season.
