Sorry Griz,you got it wrong.
According to the Guinness web site it is called STOUT BEER.
In the 18 th. century in England it was called PORTER.
No matter what it is called it takes a real man to drink it.
In my early days in Belfast,lots of the females drank Guinness.
The guys liked to meet gals who drank Guinness,it was about the cheapest drink.(and you thought Scotsmen were cheap)
Ps.we always drink it at room temperature,better head and nicer taste.
