Memories vs. Cost

I am always surprised when visitors to PV express shock or displeasure with the prices at some of the restaurants. I live in the New York City area where the prices at most restaurants are crazy. If the atmosphere at these N.Y. places were even remotely similiar to the places in PV, they would be worth twice the price.
The restaurants in PV design their prices for the tourist trade and that price includes a slight charge in the cost of the meal for the pleasure of being in a tropical paradise.
How many places in your home area can you name that give you as much pleasure eating at as the restaurants in PV do?
Eat out , eat often, and enjoy the experience. In a short time, the costs will be long forgotten but you will still have your great memories.

You admit that the restaurant prices in New York are \"crazy\",and express surprise that some people think PV prices are expensive ??
I live in British Columbia, Canada,and our restaurant prices are not \"crazy\" therefore we find prices in PV to be expensive. One judges prices by what one normally pays at home.
We can not pay for the meals with memories,it needs mucho Pesos

I hope you are not going to PV hoping to find bargains. If you are, you would probably be better off staying in British Columbia and having people send you post cards and picture of them having fun.
Generally speaking, travelers are prepared for the costs of the trip and \"when in Rome\"

There is nothing to debate. PV is a great place to visit and the prices are what they are. If prices are too steep for you, eat less or go elsewhere. Try to get beyond the cost of things and enjoy life a little more.
Most people never spend their last dollar. They usually die before that happens.

eat where the lokal eat &safe lots of money!!!1/2 chicken with salad & tortillia 30 pesos !!!the mister from N.Y. like to make a big show , how rich he is LOL. he waves his credit card & for the rest of the year lifes verry thigth in N.Y. CITY . by the way most waiters in P.V. work only for the TIPS & the kitchen staff is payed peanuts TO !!!!!15-20 US $$$ a DAY !!!

Just to satisfy my curiousity and pocket, would you please let us know your typical days food and drink in PV--- PLACE/FOOD/DRINK/COST ?

I like your attitude and completely agree with you that is better to be in PV than in most other places during the winter months.
Doing what you do is a great way to enjoy your vacation, eat properly, and not spend your time complaining about prices which seems to be such a popular pastime for so many people.
You seem to have it all together.
