Nice Oceanview Restaurants???

We are leaving in 4 weeks and we are trying to make some plans ahead of time. My wife and I want to take my parents out (who will be there for their 25th anniversary) to a nice dinner. We want a nice view and reasonable prices (we are not cheap but dont want to spend over 250 for the 4 of us). Ant suggestions you have would be great. This is our first time to PV so we dont know anything about the area so directions of general idea from the melia would be helpful also. Thanks in advance.

There are also plenty right down the malecon. Alot of rest. are two levels so the upper levels give you a nice view.

Make sure to make reservations at a front table at the time sun sets... you will never regret this experience. The terraced patios are built in a cliff overhanging the ocean. A short ride from PV Centro about a 16.00 cab ride each way... and worth every penny of it.
That night we dined at the Le Kliff restaurant, which is a popular landmark for tourists all over Puerto Vallarta. It is not difficult to see why people love it so much. Not only are the view and food first class, but the Le Kliff also hosts the largest palapa in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Make sure you arrive at the restaurant early enough to wander around and appreciate the grounds and amazing scenery. My experience at the Le Kliff ranked right up there as one of my most romantic meals ever. Make sure you are sipping a margarita when the sun hits the sea, and you are guaranteed an experience you will never forget ----even if it isn’t officially a ‘special’ occasion.

Utilize the front desk people at your resort. They can make suggestions, possibly have copies of menues and may even phone the place to make your reservations. Tip them a few bucks after and everyone is happy.

Not a view from up high, but right on the beach, people like La Palapa down on Playa Los Muertos (beach). They have a website.

:lol: lol, coincidentally i am orinally from missouri too. born and raised in the ozarks (mountain grove - about an hour east of springfield). I dont plan on ever living there again though, just visits to family.

I think we will either go to La Palapa or El Panorama. Las Carmalitas and possibly Barcelona Tapas are still options also, but i think palapa and panorama are our top two choices for now.
