Re:obscure restaurant question
\"It is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Vallarta in my opinion as well as 23 of my friends who dined there last night.\"

Being 2 of the 23 who dined there that night, I can highly recommend Barcelona Tapas. We also ate there last May, and have to agree it is absolutely one of the best restaurants in PV. My only regret is that we only got there once this trip.

Re:obscure restaurant question
Being another of the 23, I can absolutely vouch for the above. Fantastic is the best word to describe everything about Barcelona Tapas, from the view to the menu. Bill knows his stuff.

A must eat at restaurant, put it on your list, but I would definitely make reservations for the high season for a romantic sunset dinner - word is out on this place. LOL
Re:obscure restaurant question
Just ate at Barcelona Tapas on Wed Nov. 10th. Great restaurant. I dont remember seeing or using an elevator.

Had about 6 or 7 courses for our meal.

Good stuff. Great View. Kinda in the middle of a neighborhood. Odd, but nice.
Re:obscure restaurant question

Re:obscure restaurant question
Tapas are small plates or samples of food. You can order as many plates as you want. The nice thing is you get a good variety of tastes. The staff here is great and will help you with any questions you have. My particular favorite was a garlicky potatoe salad .

Take a party and share a dozen cold and hot tapas for 200p. Owner/chef Bill Carballo, from Chicago and trained in Spain, offers sizzling spicy shrimp, calamari, cured Spanish ham, chicken or beef brochettes, potato torta, creamy garlic potato salad, mushrooms with chorizo, layered vegetable torta, sopa de fríjol negro, house made breads and ice creams. Sherry loves the paella. She also likes the house made sangria and finds menu prices quite fair. Lovely terrace on fourth floor with wide Bahia and cityscape or inside A/C third floor dining room. Crème brulée and fried caramel bananas are super! No CC.
