Puerto Nuevo suggestions?

Making our first trip to P.V. shortly. We are staying at the Vallarta Palace.
This being our first visit are there any great restaurants in this part of town? Or for that matter anything we should now about this area?

La Laguna resturant in Nuevo is excellent.
