The Best Restaurant in PV

Started April 22, 2005 · 16,350 views · 7 posts
We were in PV from 4/4/05--4/11/05 and the best restaurant we dined at was El Panorama. The food and service were absolutely wonderful. We had drinks, appetizers, soup, and full meals...with tip it was only $60/person. Coming from Chicago mentality, I could not find anyplace here to have a dinner of that caliber for under $200. It was so good, we made it a point to eat there again before we left for home. If you love avocados you must try their chilled avocado cream soup!!

Yes 60 USD would feed 3 or 4 at The Red Cabbage the best cafe in PV IMO!
Re:The Best Restaurant in PV
So True! One of the best meals linda & I ever had was at Ciero Centenario in Mexico City. It is in a lovely 17th century Mansion near the Zocalo. The whole place is resturent ina dozen rooms. Atleast 4 different groups of strolling musicans. We had a 5 course meal, linda had wine, for 38 USD including tip. This would have been atleast 200 USD in the bay area.

I think he meant that a meal of that caliber was a deal at $60.00. We have eaten there several times. We save it for the last night before returning home. We have eaten at many many restaurants in PV and there is alot of inexpensive excellent places to go. These are places we would frequent more but for a really special night we like Panorama.
Re:The Best Restaurant in PV is Las Cazuelas
No question about it - the best authentic Colonial Mexican Restaurant is Las Cazuelas at the very end of Basilio Badillo at 479. For over 30 years - this beautiful restauant has featured the very best Mexican food. No other place in PV has this ambience - end of story. It is a special event restaurant. Enjoy the well prepared food and VERY reasonbly priced Baja red wines. We love it and visit every time at least once. Not cheap - but worth the money. A website that features it is: http://www.hypermex.com/htmlads/caz.htm
