If you only eat at one place while in PV make it Las Carmelitas. This resturant is the best keep secret in PV. The food is great but this is just a bonus. Las Carmelitas sits high above PV and is \"THE ONLY PLACE\", not to mention a resturant, where you can see the \"ENTIRE\" city and bay. It is about a 15 min. taxi drive from McDonalds on the melecon. It will probably cost you about $4 US to get up there, but, the view going up is worth the price alone. The dinners average less than $10 and are really great. Make sure you get up there before sunset and then enjoy watching the lights of the city come on as it gets dark. It is one place you will never forget. We travel all thru Mexico every winter and have never found a place like this. We will be in PV all of Jan. and Feb. so maybe we will see you there.

Dining is one of many reasons for visiting Puerto Vallarta. We visit PV for a couple of weeks every January (will be 8th time this year). I recommend Tequilas on the Malecon for a nice view of the sunset accross the bay and their entertaining Mariachi after dark. For the best food and unmatched service, take a taxi up the hill to Bombos. Enjoy!!
