We are going to PV in May; we just wanted to know if PV has open Pharmacy’s. When I went to Cancun it was cool, all the Pharmacy’s there if you needed something you just walked in and got it….. Just wondering?

All but Narcotics are available and very easy to purchase and far less expensive then in the US. The largest selections are at the Farmacia Guadalajara (the Walgreens of Jalisco)

The pharmacys are great, even the little one next to the marina where the cruise ships pull in. In Jan my wife had a really bad tooth ache and head ache and I went the the store and asked in what spanish I know and was fixed up right away. No narcs, but what I got really took care of her pain and she was back at the pool in about 24 hours.

Unlike many pharmacists in the U.S., the Mexican pharmacist will even give you basic medical advice and recommend which medicine to buy.

Is there any problem with taking prescription medication with us to PV? Special procedure?
What is general dress code, other than \"casual\"? More specifically, are jeans OK in all/most places, including restaurants?

It depends on when you will be in PV--it might be too warm for jeans.
