grocery store

Hola!
I am leaving for PVR on Jan 24th for 2 weeks, staying at Mayan Sea Garden and Grand Mayan in Marina Vallarta. Anyone been there? Also, anyone know the grocery stores in town ???

You can walk to a nice big grocery store just north of the Marina.. towards the airport... works for us!

Ther is a couple of giant US stores out your way includingg I belive Costco & Walmart. I perfer to shop in the local markets & \"supermarket\" Gutierrez Rico on Aquiles Serdan in old town by the river. This was the big market 20 years ago when I first found PV. and is very Mexican

There is a convenience store just across the street from the Mayan Palace (on the same side as the Sea Garden) where you can buy bottled water, liquor, and a good selection of food and conveience items, very handy. Walmart is about a 1/2 hour walk, or a 50 peso cab ride, or a 4 peso bus ride. We usually make one big shopping trip to Walmart as soon as we get there, then use the convenience store if we run out of things.
