looking for the most affordable grocery

We are headed to PV on the 25th,,wooohoooo We are staying in Nuevo Vallarta, I would like to stop and stock up on groceries n booze before we settle in and dont want to leave the water side. What is the most reasonable grocery store there in PV?

mega and gigante. they are both in the hotel zone.

There is a new Mega which opened in December just before Bucerias. It is large, I am told, with a great selection of produce/meat/fish and a large selection of wine. It would be closer than going into PV. The grocery story at Paradise Village is adequate for milk/beer/ceral etc., but not sufficient if you are planning on preparing eveining meals.

the paradise village grocery store is more expensive then eating out

my friend from florida came out to visit and sher had a time share at the grand mayan we went shopping over at the village and was blown away by the costs
