Soriana

I want to try shopping at Soriana instead of Gigante this time. Can someone tell me how to get there from Plaza Carocal? Is it a short walk? Are prices comparable to Gigante, Mega, etc..?

Lori , you will need to take a cab . We never stopped in but drove by on our day trip to Pitilial (sp?) . Its on the outskirts of Pitilial . In Oct we paid around 40- 50 pesos for a similar distance as you will be taking. I bet a bus would be another option.

I believe you take the green bus that has Pitilial (sp) on it. You will catch it in Centro or south hotel zone. the blue won (if I have them correct) goes to Walmarts and turns east to Pitilla. The green one takes you by it just before you cross the river into Pitilla. It will be on your right. You will see the big orange sign. If you should get on the wrong one, get off at the plaza, look at the church, then walk back over the river and there it is on your left. When you leave walk across the street and catch the bus back to Centro or get a cab. lots of them at the store. Nora from Missouri. I think this is correct but the bus drivers can help you.
