The drink racine?

I heard about a drink similar to tequila called racine (sp?) can anyone tell me more about this drink?

It is called raicilla, it is a Mexican moonshine mezcal. The legalized stuff sold in stores is not the same, not nearly as potent.

is it still possible to find the real stuff?
