Hi Judi,

Who did you book the tour through and what was the cost?

Hi Marie!

We booked through our Air Transat rep but the tour was with Traffic Tours. Our tour was on Mondays and cost 270 pesos ($27US) or 390 pesos ($39US) if you wanted lunch included. Lunch was at an outdour restaurant in the jungle in the mountains. You had your choice of 3 meals - all were good and included one beverage. We thought this tour was great as it really took us all over and time went by quickly. Lots of great photo opportunites!

There are tons of city and jungle tours in Vallarta. You can do a private one where you have many more options or a chartered one.
I know one that is private with a huge van A/C, spotless, completely fluent guode with an amazing amount of knowledge (20 years of doing tours in Vallarta!) and the van fits up to 14 people, so great for groups or families.

Any hotel or travel agency or here can supply you with town and jungle tours.

A great bus ride is the bus labeled Punta Minta. It heads north past Nuevo Vallarta, past Bucerias to the extreme north of Banderas
Bay. You get off at the end of the route in the little town of Punta Minta. The driver will point out the beach once you get there. Their are many small restaurants on the beach with very reasonable prices. Plenty of nice soft rolling surf and you can walk in about 300 ft before its over your waist. They rent boogie boards and paddle boats very reasonable. The bus stays till about 4 pm then heads back to Vallarta. To catch the bus going there their is a bus stop just past the Pizza Hut and Gigante. The ride there
is very scenic. The price each way was about $2.00 US about two years ago.
