Cock Fights

Does anyone know where I can see a cock fight while in Puerto Vallarta. I will be in PV from Feb 14th-Feb21.

Or, you could board one of the third-class travel busses and try to stir up a big fight amongst any poultry aboard. Just joking...no flames please!

There are many cockfights in Jalisco, there are even ranches devoted to raising fighting cocks.
I believe at certain times close to Pitillal you can find cockfights.

Yes, l have known people go to some in Pittilal and Ixtapa. These events are more of a closed crowd rather than for tourist entertainment. It is a sport which has been enjoyed for hundreds of years and still continued in smaller communities.

In case anyone was seriously interested, I did see a cock-fight advertized for this Saturday, Feb. 22nd, as I was driving to El Pitillal this afternoon. You take the Libramiento in Puerto Vallarta to the traffic light at Avenida Francisco Villa, turn eastward at the light and drive until you see the main bridge crossing into the town of El Pitillal. The fights were advertized at the compound on your right, just BEFORE the bridge. If you continue into El Pitillal, the street name changes to Avenida Emiliano Zapata. Me?, I think that I will pass.
