Hey guys no shame in getting sick, I do it all the time, well NOT every time.
DRAMAMINE does not work for me but this is my story and I am sticking to it!!!
About 8 years ago a friend of mine talked me into going on a TS presentation to help a friend of his out (I was to get a boat trip and he was going with me, so he told me to tell them I wanted to go on the Vallarta Sol). While I was making my rather dramatic exit from the TS presentation
 (Another story) they tell me they only have tickets for the MARIGALANTE. OK trust me on this one, if you want to get sick take the Marigalante to the Marietas. By the time we got to about La Cruz I was begging them to just let me jump overboard and swim to shore. My friend felt terrible and said when they took us to the beach for lunch he would hike up to the main road and find us a taxi. Sounded like a plan to me but it was hours away from happening. The guys at the bare kept telling me to take a shot of
tequila with lime juice (no way, not when you are as sick as I was). Every time I would run for the side they would say take a shot, were these guys nuts? Pretty soon my friend was saying the same thing, “try a shot”. He finally went over and got me one and sipped on it AND it worked. After about 30 min of slow little sips I was not sick any more in fact I felt great the whole rest of the trip. So throw away the Dramamine next time and have a shot of tequila and lime.
Even the captain of my boat said there are times, if it is rough, he will start to feel sick and when he does, he drinks a beer. It has to be something with the alcohol and its effect on your equilibrium. The seasickness is caused because the motion is throwing your equilibrium off and apparently the alcohol counteracts that.
Guess it would probably be hard to get this theory to fly in the navy, but it works in PV.
