Does anyone know of any outfits in PV that offer guided hiking trips into the jungle around PV. We are looking to do some minor hiking, ( 1 -2 hours) and it would be nice if someone local could guide us, if only to familiarize us with the local flora & fauna. We are assuming there are hiking trails around PV. but not sure. Also, is it possible to walk or bike to Mismaloya from town, not using the main road? If it is, how long would it take?

There is a company in PV called Bikemex which also doubles as Hikemex. It organises guided biking and hiking tours into the hills and jungles around PV. We took their basic bike tour along the Rio Cuale which was hard work but well worth it.
