Master Baiters Sportfishing charters

Anyone have any experience or knowledge of Master Baiters Sportfishing charters? Sure would love a report on them before my arrival this Saturday!

Weird name.

They have an office and store in the marina. When we were there we hung around and watched the boats coming in (DEC and JAN) and seemed to have a great collection of fish that were caught. They fly flags showing what they caught with different flags for different species of fish. We were not interested in going fishing, but were interested in the great collection of souvenirs they had for sale, T-shirts, caps, etc, all with their distinctive name on them. Some of our friends would find the word play on their name hilarious, and might even wear a cap.

No Ron we cant this year first time in 11 years. say hi to all our friends at the Melia.

we went with masterbaiters last march2005. 4 of us rented a 26ft or 28ft boat. it was about 650$ & we only caught 1 friggin dorado all day. it was a very nice older boat & a good 1 hr boat ride, seen lots of dolphins & even a whale.

captain was very fun to talk to & the crew was good. but you basically dont get to do anything except reel it in. if your a fisherman like me its not that enjoyable.

I had more fun going to mismaloya & paying a guy 35$/hr to take us out in a little 16ft boat. he went to college in the US & spoke perfect english. he lets you do whatever you want. you can pick the gear if you want.
