Parasailing questions

For everyone who had a question about Parasailing in Mexico check this out ....there are no saftey regs in mexico

we parasailed in front of paradise village resort and i will never forget how totally GREAT it was. i felt very safe and i agree with the above posting. i felt more unsafe in the taxis than i did parasailing.

That same website also says that 3 people were killed parasailng last year in Puerto Vallarta, if there are saftey regs then post em .

I doubt if the amount of accidents in PV is anything to be concerned about. We have been watching Parasailors in PV for over 20 years and had never ever heard of an accident until the one pictured. A little research will show you that there are far more in Florida. BTW the poster prior to you, was just trying to explain that PV does have loads of regulations for everything. She was merely telling you that the Boats down there are regulated. The PV people are very much concerned for the welfare of their visitors.

I am the person who took and posted this picture. It has generated over 2000 hits in the past couple days since it was posted. I think the reason it has shown to be so interesting to folks is that it is such a RARE occurance. In many years of going to PV, staying beachfront, and watching the parasailers we have never seen an accident before.
Statistically, it is probably way safer than lots of other tourist related activities., (riding in the cabs, for instance.8-) )

One fine day this last week as we were at the Crown, some drunk knucklehead from the Playa del Oro took a dare and dropped his shorts and took off parasailing. It sure caught everyones attention. I guess he thought he was well hung (pardon the pun).
