Margaret and I sure would like to take in San Sebastian this January. Any ideas on how to get there without paying so much to fly?

Thanks in advance.

You can drive there now, so you can either rent a car or hire a driver. Rosie, one of our posters, knows a good one. I would imagine a bus goes there, too.
I have heard that the drive up there is nice now with the new highway... check with your hotel guest relations manager, or somebody local to your stay, and work with them to get you a good driver to take you up there for the day... it is a wonderful place to visit... so much history in that area...
If you can get a group together I recommend going with Tony Sanchez. We had a group of ten last October, and it was $40 or $50 per person. I think we saw a lot more from his large van than we would have from a plane. And OMG, have him take you to the Italian restaurant there, my wife swears it was the best meal of our trip, and that is saying something, we eat well on vacation.
Ted has is right, Tony offers tours here and other places. We toured with him to La Penita last year and enjoyed ourselves. It was a custom tour for about 9 of us specifically to visit the market held every Thursday here. Cost was $50 US each and worth it.
Thanks for the information.

Just how would one get in contact with Tony?

Thanks,

JIM
Jimbo, I sent you a PM with the contact info.
Thanks Teduardo!
