27 Cruise Arrivals to Drive Busy Month for Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is bracing for a massive wave of maritime tourism as 27 cruise ships are scheduled to dock during April 2026. Following the third session of the ASIPONA Puerto Vallarta Operations Committee, officials confirmed that this surge will bring the total number of arrivals for the first four months of the year to 72. This busy schedule marks a full recovery and expansion of the port’s activity, following a brief period of itinerary adjustments in February and March.

The April lineup includes the highly anticipated debut of three unique luxury vessels:

  •     Brilliant Lady (Virgin Voyages): The newest adult-only flagship from Richard Branson’s fleet, known for its modern, “no-buffet” boutique style.
  •     Star Seeker (Windstar Cruises): A brand-new, all-suite yacht designed for intimate, high-end guest experiences.
  •     Queen Elizabeth (Cunard Line): A legendary vessel representing the pinnacle of British maritime tradition and classic elegance.

With 24 arrivals in January, 13 in February, and 11 in March, the 27 scheduled for April represent the highest monthly volume of the year so far. This influx of international travelers is expected to provide a substantial economic boost to the local economy, particularly for tour operators, taxi unions, and restaurants in the Marina and Romantic Zone. The presence of these premier cruise lines reinforces Puerto Vallarta’s status as the leading maritime hub on the Mexican Pacific coast.
