Nuevo Nayarit is strengthening its role in the region’s tourism economy after the first Future Leaders in Tourism Summit – Nayarit 2026 brought more than 1,200 students, academics and tourism officials to the Hotel Escuela Gran Nayar.
The June 26–27 forum focused on the next generation of hospitality and tourism professionals, with sessions on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, certifications, languages, entrepreneurship and hotel-school models. Reports from local and national media say the program was coordinated with state tourism authorities and included participation linked to UN Tourism, federal tourism officials, universities and specialists from Mexico and abroad.
