The government of Jalisco has officially delivered the completed Las Juntas Vehicular Interchange in Puerto Vallarta. The new interchange is strategically located at the intersection of Federal Highway 200 and State Highway 544 (Mascota-Las Palmas-Puerto Vallarta). It is an integrated proposal featuring a primary elevated bridge, complemented by surface-level turnarounds and left-turn lanes to ensure smoother traffic flow for the tens of thousands of drivers who use the route daily.
Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro highlighted the project’s necessity, noting the massive traffic volume. He also pointed out that the interchange provides essential connections to the highways leading toward inland tourism destinations like San Sebastián del Oeste and Mascota, as well as the CUCosta university center.
The development, which took seven months to complete, represented a substantial investment of 374 million pesos. The Secretary of Infrastructure and Public Works (SIOP) finalized the project with the installation of lateral lanes, protective barriers, sidewalks, a crucial new storm drain collector, updated signage, landscaping, and a new pedestrian bridge, ensuring safety and efficiency for all users.
