Mexicana to Resume Flights to Puerto Vallarta in 2025

Mexicana de Aviación has announced plans to resume flights to Puerto Vallarta in 2025, as part of a broader expansion of its route network. The airline had previously suspended operations on several routes in January, but is now looking to rebound with a more focused strategy.

The airline’s director, Leonardo Ávila, revealed that Mexicana will add four new destinations to its existing network this year, including Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta. The decision to include Puerto Vallarta in its expansion plans is a positive sign for both the airline and the popular tourist destination.

Ávila explained that the airline is optimizing its resources and focusing on high-demand routes to improve financial stability. With the addition of Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta, Mexicana expects to serve a total of 14 destinations by the end of 2025, carrying over 500,000 passengers.
