More than 18,000 residents and visitors gathered along the city’s iconic waterfront recently to participate in a truly historic celebration of Three Kings Day. The downtown area was transformed into a vibrant festive corridor as the local government presented a record-breaking “Mega Rosca de Reyes.” Stretching an incredible two kilometers from the Malecón Lighthouse to the Los Muertos Pier, this massive traditional cake became a grand symbol of community spirit and holiday joy.
The atmosphere was electric with the sounds of live music and the laughter of families. Attendees enjoyed a magical evening filled with children’s shows and a special appearance by the Three Kings, who greeted the crowd and posed for photos. To complete the traditional experience, thousands of slices of the sweet bread were served alongside steaming cups of hot chocolate, creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone along the world-famous boardwalk.
Leading the festivities, Mayor Luis Munguía González joined city officials to officially cut the first slice of the monumental pastry. He emphasized that the event was carefully designed to revitalize essential values such as hope, unity, and cultural pride. The Mayor noted that the positive energy radiating from such large-scale community gatherings is exactly what makes Puerto Vallarta a unique destination that continues to attract travelers from all over the world.
