Puerto Vallarta Sees Record-Breaking Summer Tourism

Puerto Vallarta has enjoyed an exceptional summer season, with Mexican tourists leading the charge. Preliminary data reveals a remarkable 78.67% average hotel occupancy rate, surpassing the previous year by a significant margin.

Over 250,000 hotel rooms have been booked since July 7th, generating a substantial economic impact of over 3.5 billion pesos. Notably, Mexican tourists accounted for a dominant 71.5% of these bookings, with the remaining percentage split between the United States, Canada, and other countries.

The average visitor spent a generous $14,620 pesos, contributing to a total economic spillover of more than 3.5 billion pesos for the destination. Additionally, approximately 50,000 tourists opted for digital rental platforms, further boosting the local economy with an injection of over 600 million pesos.
