Chess enthusiasts are gearing up for the second Grand Chess Tournament in Puerto Vallarta, an event organized by Federal Deputy Bruno Blancas. The tournament, scheduled for August 9th from 9 am to 5 pm at the CECATI 63 Auditorium, promises intense competition and a chance to win a share of the $12,000 prize pool.
Deputy Blancas has been instrumental in fostering a growing chess community in Puerto Vallarta. His tournaments have attracted players of all levels, contributing to the game’s popularity in the region. Beyond the competition, the events have become social gatherings, fostering a sense of camaraderie among chess enthusiasts.
The tournament will feature three categories: Mixed Under 12, Mixed Under 20, and Mixed Open. Winners in each category will receive cash prizes.
