PV Anticipates Over 75% Hotel Occupancy This Summer

Puerto Vallarta is forecasting a strong summer tourism season, with hotel occupancy projected to exceed 75% throughout the vacation period. Weekends are expected to see even higher percentages as the city continues its promotional efforts.

Recognizing that the summer vacation period primarily attracts domestic, family-oriented tourism, Vallarta is tailoring its preparations accordingly. Luis Villaseñor Nolasco, Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (Fidetur), confirmed recent promotional visits to key Mexican cities like Guadalajara, León, and Monterrey, with upcoming efforts planned for Aguascalientes and Morelia, all designed to encourage more national tourism to the destination.

In addition to marketing efforts, Villaseñor Nolasco also announced that a new flight from Morelia, Michoacán, will soon be launched. Furthermore, there will be increased flight frequencies to and from major Mexican cities such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, León, and Mexico City, enhancing accessibility for national visitors.
