Scheduled for this Saturday, June 14th, at the Emiliano Zapata Market, “El Sazón en sus Mercados Renace” (The Flavor in Its Markets Reborn) aims to revive traditional flavors and showcase the vibrant gastronomy found within Puerto Vallarta’s local markets.
The competition will feature eight kitchens, representing three municipal markets: Río Cuale, 5 de Diciembre, and Emiliano Zapata. Each market will select a signature dish, vying for excellence as a panel of expert judges determines the first, second, and third place winners.
Winners will receive attractive prizes, generously sponsored by CANACO, CANIRAC, local councilors, and various municipal departments. The event promises to be a true culinary festival, highlighting the homemade flavors and traditional fare from the city’s beloved “merenderos” and “cenadurías” of yesteryear, sure to delight all palates. The festivities will take place at the Emiliano Zapata Municipal Market, located on Lázaro Cárdenas street, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
