PVR Sees Slight Passenger Decline in July

The Puerto Vallarta International Airport reported a 3.3% decrease in total passenger traffic for July 2024 compared to the same month last year. This decline aligns with a broader trend observed across most airports operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).

While Puerto Vallarta International Airport welcomed a total of 548,300 passengers in July 2024, down from 567,100 in the same month of 2023, it is important to note that the airport has still seen a 1.8% increase in passenger traffic for the first seven months of the year, reaching a total of 4.3 million passengers. However, this growth rate has been gradually slowing down.

Domestic passenger traffic at Puerto Vallarta Airport increased by 1.4% in July 2024, reaching 306,800 passengers. This positive trend was not mirrored in international passenger traffic, which declined by 8.7% to 241,500 passengers. Despite this decline, the airport continues to see more domestic passengers than international ones.
