The Vallarta Botanical Garden is celebrating a major achievement with its participation in the prestigious World Congress of Botanical Gardens in Singapore. This global gathering of top minds in botany and conservation marks a significant milestone for the Garden, a beloved destination for visitors since 2005.
Representing the Garden at this international event is Dr. Cristóbal D. Sánchez, Director of Botany and Education. He will be delivering a captivating lecture titled “Botanical Exploration in Mexico: The Role of Botanical Gardens and the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden.”
The invitation to the World Congress comes on the heels of a series of impressive accolades that have put the Vallarta Botanical Garden on the international map. Recent honors include the “International Garden Worth Traveling For” award from Butchart Gardens in Canada (2023), the “Garden of Excellence Award” from the American Public Garden Association (2022), and being named one of USA Today’s “10 Best Public Gardens of North America” for four consecutive years.
