Puerto Vallarta received a magnificent Christmas gift yesterday as three major cruise ships docked simultaneously at the local terminal. This impressive “triple arrival” marks the second such event this month and serves as a grand finale for the city’s maritime schedule in 2025, filling the port with holiday excitement and international travelers.
The day began early with the arrival of the massive Norwegian Bliss at 6:00 a.m., followed shortly by the elegant Royal Princess at 7:30 a.m. By 9:00 a.m., the trio was completed with the arrival of the MS Vista. Together, these three vessels brought thousands of visitors to the city, providing a significant boost to local shops, restaurants, and tour operators during the peak of the holiday season.
Throughout the day, the downtown area and the iconic Malecón buzzed with activity as passengers explored the city’s charms. This vibrant influx of tourism underscores the vital role the cruise industry plays in Puerto Vallarta’s thriving economy, especially during such a festive and meaningful time of year for the community.
December has been an exceptionally busy month for the port, hosting a total of 26 cruise ship visits. And, as the year draws to a close, Puerto Vallarta also celebrates a remarkable total of 152 cruise arrivals for 2025.
