On Friday, May 30th, the Environmental Directorate hosted the second iteration of the “Chiqui Environmental Council” at the La Montaña Community Development Center. This special event, operating under the theme “The Magic of Pollinators,” is designed to educate children about the vital role that bees, butterflies, and other insects play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. With the support of local civil associations, participating children engaged in interactive workshops and enjoyable educational activities crafted to foster curiosity and a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
According to Environmental Director Laura Ramírez Barragán, this initiative not only provides a safe and enriching experience for children on non-school days but also cultivates a lasting connection with nature, reflecting the administration’s vision to develop environmentally conscious citizens from an early age.
