Vallarta Wraps Up Summer with 80% Occupancy

As the summer vacation period comes to a close, Puerto Vallarta is reporting an impressive average occupancy rate of 80%, according to the Municipal Tourism and Economic Development Department.

Cristian Preciado Cázares, head of the department, stated that this summer season has been “very successful” for the beach destination. Preliminary data from the Jalisco State Tourism Secretariat indicates that the region has generated over 21 billion pesos (approximately US$1.25 billion) in economic revenue.

“We are ending the summer on a high note, but we are already preparing for the peak winter season,” said Preciado Cázares. “We will be introducing new air routes and continuing to promote the destination to attract even more visitors to Puerto Vallarta.”
