Puerto Vallarta Gets a Direct Winter Flight from Poland

LOT Polish Airlines will fly a weekly Dreamliner charter between Katowice and Puerto Vallarta from Dec. 17, 2026, to March 18, 2027, every Thursday.

Puerto Vallarta will have a nonstop link to Europe again this winter: a weekly charter from Katowice, in southern Poland, runs every Thursday from December 17, 2026, to March 18, 2027. LOT Polish Airlines will fly the route with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of roughly 300 seats, which works out to about 1,200 seats a month from Poland, according to Vallarta Opina and AZNoticias.

The flights are part of a holiday program by the Polish tour operator Rainbow Tours. Its packages include seven nights at selected Puerto Vallarta hotels, airport transfers by Pacific BaySide DMC and optional excursions. The list reads like a good first week in the bay: a downtown city tour, whale watching in season, boat trips to Majahuitas and Yelapa, off-road rides and ziplines in the Sierra Madre, the Jorullo suspension bridge, and day trips to San Sebastián del Oeste, Tequila and the Guachimontones. If those names are new to you, our regional map of Jalisco’s Magical Towns shows where they sit.

The schedule and the sales push

AeroRoutes lists the planned times as flight LO6581 leaving Katowice at 5:15 a.m. and landing in Puerto Vallarta at 12:30 p.m., with LO6582 heading back at 2:20 p.m. and reaching Katowice at 9:10 a.m. the next day. That is about 14 hours westbound and just under 12 hours on the way home.

To help sell the trips, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust spent a week in Katowice, Wrocław and Łódź, where five destination seminars trained 630 Polish travel advisors. It is a nice addition to the winter routes we covered in our report on eight new routes at PVR. If you are meeting friends off one of these flights, our Puerto Vallarta airport guide has the terminal map and transport options.
