Puerto Vallarta celebrates the second edition of “Taste in Competition”

Puerto Vallarta is gearing up for the upcoming edition of “Flavor in Competition,” a culinary contest that celebrates the gastronomic ingenuity of the region. Scheduled for March 15th, this event will bring together renowned chefs from the destination with the aim of promoting municipal markets and exalting local products.

The first installment of this competition, held at the Emiliano Zapata market, was a resounding success, prompting it to be relocated to Parque Hidalgo this time to accommodate a larger number of attendees.

In this gastronomic challenge, participants will have 59 minutes to create dishes using only ingredients purchased from local markets, which will be judged by a panel of experts comprised of prominent chefs from the region.

With the confirmation of participation from emblematic restaurants such as Tinos, Tienda Grande, and El Negrito, the day will be enhanced with artistic and cultural presentations, as well as exhibitions related to gastronomy and beverages.

This event, jointly organized by the local government of Puerto Vallarta and CANIRAC, also includes a special edition aimed at the younger generation, which will take place at the seafood market in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, with the aim of fostering the interest of new generations in local cuisine.
