Puerto Vallarta has experienced a significant surge in cruise tourism during the first half of 2024, welcoming a record-breaking 285,635 cruise passengers. This represents a 13.8% increase compared to the same period in 2019, marking a remarkable achievement since the beginning of the current state administration.
Between January and June, 94 cruise ships have made port calls in Puerto Vallarta, with January alone seeing 72,889 passengers disembark. A wide range of cruise lines, including Princess Cruises, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line, have chosen Puerto Vallarta as a destination. The port’s three berths allow for simultaneous docking of up to three cruise ships.
